DESCRIPTION:
Gilbert Clock Co, Winsted, Conn., calendar clock, time & strike, with Galusha Maranville patent metal disc dial showing month above 12 and date and days of the week around the circumference, the month and days changed by turning a stud with the clock key.
CONDITION:
refinished rosewood veneered case is in good condition. The hour and minute hands are original; calendar hand is a later replacement. The original dial is very good to excellent with some flaking and loss around the winding holes; there is NO evidence on any touch up to either background or numerals or written portions; all old and legible.
